Articles in paper form should be sent to the editorial board in quadruplicate, 2 copies in English – one of each of language copy should be without the author’s name for submission to the reviewers. Both versions should have the identical content and the same layout of illustrations. In addition, electronic versions of the article in both languages should be attached.
The length of the article should not exceed 12 pages in A4 format, including tables, figures and photos.
The text should be typed in TNR 12 point type and 1.5 line spacing with the use of italics and bold typeface allowed but not underlining. Subheadings should not be numbered.
Figures, photos or tables which should not exceed 6 in number. Figures, photos and tables should be indicated with the abbreviation Fig. and numbered in order. Tables should be numbered separately and indicated by the abbreviation Tab. All tables and illustrations should be cited in the text.
First and last names of the author(s) without titles, academic degrees or certifications;
Affiliation;
Correspondence address to the author including email address;
Title of the article;
An abstract of the results and conclusions (1500 characters or 200 words);
Key words (3–5);
The main body of the text divided into: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Literature.
Citing the work of another author(s) in the text and noting the number in the list of references should be done in accordance with the internationally accepted bibliographical style of the APA The stylistic rules can be found on the following websites: http://library.williams.edu/citing/styles/apa.php or http://www.pwsz-ns.edu.pl/ip/media/File/Standardy_APA3.pdf Footnotes are also acceptable for the notation of additional subtexts.
The format for the citation of scientific articles: Last name, First initial. (year). Title of the article. Title of the journal, issue number (edition number), page number.
Example:
Kowalski, J. (2008). Traditional rural landscapes. Architektura Krajobrazu, 56(4), 18–26.
Format for the citation of books:
Last name, First initial. (year). Book title. City of publication: Publisher.
Example:
Kowalski, J., Nowak, A. (2003). Architektura wsi. Wrocław: Publisher ABC.
Format for the citation of chapters or sections of a book:
Last name, First initial. (year). Title of the chapter. In I. Last name (ed.), Title of the book (page numbers). City of publication: Publisher.
Example:
Kowalski, J. (2000). Plans to preserve the city landscape. In A. Nowak (ed.), City Landscapes (169–202). Warsaw: Publisher ABCD.
Articles sent for publication undergo an initial verification of the merit of the content and the arrangement of the text. After receiving the editor’s acceptance, articles are sent to two independent reviewers not associated with the institutions affiliated with the author, using the double-blind review process (authors and reviewers are not given each other’s identity). Reviews are done in written form and should end with a definitive conclusion as to the appropriateness of accepting or rejecting articles for publication. The names of the reviewers are made available once a year in the last issue of the publication. The rules for acceptance or rejection of articles and the form used for writing reviews can be found on the website of this publication. The editor does not return unsolicited materials and reserves the right to edit or shorten articles.
After receiving a positive review an author is obligated to respond to all comments and make all corrections suggested by the reviewer and to send the editor the final corrected version of the article in Polish and English, one copy each. Articles should be sent in printed form along with an electronic version (CD/DVD). The electronic version should contain separate files for the main text and all illustrations, figures, photos, drawings, diagrams and tables. The graphic material should be saved in the source files (i.e., DWG and/or PSD, CDR), in commonly used graphic formats, TIFF, BMP, JPG (uncompressed), and in the CMYK color system. Minimum file resolution should be 300 dpi.

When sending the final version of the article the author should also include:
A statement that the article is an original work,
A statement that there is no conflict of interest,
A statement of consent for the publication of materials used in the work that are not the work of the author of the article,
A statement as to the source of financing,
With a larger number of authors the contribution of each individual should be specified (to preclude ghostwriting).
Information on ghostwriting and guest authorship:
All instances of scientific misconduct such as ghostwriting or guest authorship discovered by the editor will be made known and appropriate parties will be notified.
A fee for the publication of articles in the Landscape Architecture Quarterly is the responsibility of authors of the work upon receiving a decision that the work has been accepted for publication. In 2017 the publication fee was 100 Euro.
